Teaching

Breanna started swing dancing in 2006 in Nashville, TN and Sacramento, CA. Yes, it's a bit of a spread between the two, but luckily, it left her with a diverse dancing background that matches the diversity of her teaching. Between years of theater classes, half a civil engineering degree, and about a million other types of silliness, she's sure to be able to find at least one way to explain that step you're having trouble getting. She's had plenty of practice explaining dance-stuff, too, teaching for groups that include her college swing club as well as workshops around the region.
Since beginning dancing in 2006, Breanna's taken classes all over the United States from a myriad of professional dancers, all to improve her dancing. She loves to compete and has won several competitions over the past few years, including double 1st place wins in both the Jack and Jill and Solo Charleston contests at Southern Belle Swing Bash in 2010. She loves to perform, too, and she'll do so any time she gets a chance, whether that's for a community event or on a stage full of other dancers.
You can usually find Breanna out on the dance floor--she'll be the one with the quirky styling, or the one squealing joyously about Minne Dips, or the one caught up in the music doing solo jazz in the corner, and she's probably not wearing pants. Or, maybe after-hours, you'll see her on the dance floor, too...she has a tendency to do silly things like roll around on the floor . Don't worry, she'll definitely ask you to join in, too.
